Yeadon Lib Dem Councillor Sandy Lay has expressed his frustration at the pocked state of Yeadon High Street and called on the council to sort out the damaged road surface.
The High Street is a busy road, acting as one of the main routes into Yeadon from the airport, used extensively by buses, cars and lorries. For many years its potholes have been patched but now Cllr Lay is calling for the stretch to be resurfaced.
Cllr Sandy Lay (Lib Dem, Otley and Yeadon) said, “The state of the high street from Cemetery Road to Harrogate Road is shocking. The whole length is littered with potholes, making it difficult to avoid them. Given how busy the road is, it desperately needs a resurface rather than refill.
“I will be asking the council to look at this as a matter of urgency to make the current unpleasant conditions a thing of the past for residents and motorists alike.”
