On a separate issue you may recall my email dated 22/5/15 regarding an urgent closure of Burras Lane that night to carry out urgent repairs to Yorkshire Water apparatus in the carriageway at the junction with West Chevin Road. Unfortunately the repairs which were carried out have not proved satisfactory and a resident has contacted YW to report these as causing a noise nuisance once again.
YW have informed us they must carry out a more substantial repair imminently. Unfortunately due to the works involved and the requirement for curing of the concrete chambers a closure will need to remain in place from early Saturday morning until 0600 Monday morning.
A diversion route will be signed on site with access maintained via the Kirkgate/Bondgate junction.
This is not ideal and will inevitably cause a degree of disruption. It is also frustrating a second visit is required but I am assured YW have now investigated the problem and found the root cause of the failings which will hopefully be resolved this weekend to prevent further action in the near future.
